Introduction of Controlled Release Fertilizer (CRF)
All our Controlled Release Fertilizers are coated with polymer or sulfur with modern technology. When the fertilizer is applied in moist growing medium, it will absorb the vapor through microscopic pores in the coat. The moisture slowly dissolves the nutrients then the nutrients diffuse into the root zone slowly and continuously. The nutrient release rate mainly depends on the soil temperature, coating materials and coating thickness. The fertilizer releases nutrients quicker under high soil temperature. Soil moisture content, soil pH, and microbial activities will affect nutrient availability after released from fertilizer, but has no impact on the fertilizer nutrient release rate.
Function Mechanism of CRF
1. The vapor penetrates into the granule through the CRF coating pores.
2 The solid nutrients inside are gradually dissolved into easily absorbed liquid form.
3. The liquid nutrients are released into the soil slowly and continuously.
4. The plant roots absorb the nutrients.
